Lewisburg Borough Council Ward 3
Description of office: There are 6 to 8 council members in each borough with half elected every 2 years. Borough Council members meet once monthly and are responsible for enacting, revising, repealing, and amending ordinances and resolutions that govern and are beneficial to the borough, but are not inconsistent with the laws of the Commonwealth. The Council appoints other borough officers such as secretary, treasurer, solicitor, manager, etc., but no council member can also be a borough employee. The Borough Council has the power to make, authorize, and ratify expenditures for lawful purposes from available funds or from funds borrowed within legal limits. Additionally, each member serves on at least one committee such as planning, police, public works, or finance.Term: 4 yearsSalary: $1,200 per yearVote for ONE.

I am seeking to serve to continue my commitment to making our community a stronger, more inclusive place for all. I have seen firsthand the impact that thoughtful, collaborative leadership can have on our local government. I am passionate about improving the quality of life in Lewisburg by focusing on transparency, fiscal responsibility, and building partnerships between local government, nonprofits, businesses, and residents.
As an community-driven change, I want to help shape policies that foster economic development, support the arts, improve public services, and ensure that every voice in our community is heard and respected. I believe in a collaborative approach to positive change for the people of Lewisburg.
Our green spaces & rec areas enhance quality of life, offering leisure & health benefits. Improving accessibility, & enhancing parks will better serve all residents.
Our infrastructure, including roads & water systems, needs proactive maintenance to prevent larger issues. Implementing a plan for repairs & accessibility improvements is essential.
Our environmental work through recycling, waste management, and using green infrastructure to mitigate flooding & create a healthier environment.
Economic growth is key; supporting small businesses & streamlining permits will strengthen our local economy.
Affordable housing is a priority—addressing zoning & developing mixed-use solutions will ensure housing for many who are excluded.
