The most important issue facing the Chippewa Falls School District is ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality education for all students. Like many districts, we face challenges related to state funding, enrollment fluctuations, and increasing costs. Advocating for the continuation of responsible budgeting and working collaboratively with stakeholders to maximize resources without compromising student success is the way forward. Transparency and community engagement are key to making informed financial decisions.
My two top priority areas in the next budget are: 1. Student Support & Academic Excellence – Ensuring that all students have access to the best possible education, including strong academic programs, mental health resources, and extracurricular opportunities. 2. Staff Retention & Recruitment – Our educators and staff are the backbone of our schools. I support competitive salaries and workplace initiatives that help retain and attract high-quality teachers and staff, ensuring stability and excellence in our district.

Balancing these priorities requires careful planning, advocacy, and collaboration with the community to make fiscally responsible decisions that put students first.H
