It is the default repository of all municipal powers that have not been specifically delegated to some other office or board of the municipality. The language of the Illinois Municipal Code is such that in most cases the powers granted under it are to be exercised by the “corporate authorities.”The Village President and Board of Trustees are the elected representatives and policy makers for the Village of Hanover Park. Their function is to formulate policies and ordinances necessary to guide the orderly development and administration of the Village.
