They may also be called upon to assist the underwater recovery of drowning victims and may provide ambulance service. Districts are governed by boards of trustees and may levy property taxes and issue bonds.Governance for the District is provided by the board of trustees.The board consists of three members who are appointed to serve staggered three year terms….Trustees may be paid from $1,000 to $2,000 a year depending on the size of the district.
