Community Involvement Ordinance & Stormwater Committees, Board for local chapter of the Izaak Walton League,
Since August 2024, as Supervisor #1, I have advocated for policies that enhance residents' lives with a practical, community-focused approach. I am committed to ongoing training to fulfill my responsibilities effectively. With a background in conservation biology and over a decade of experience collaborating with governmental and non-governmental entities on natural resource management, I bring valuable expertise to local governance. My experience as a publication coordinator for a small, woman-owned company has strengthened my ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. This professional background equips me to address our Town’s challenges with informed decision-making and a focus on sustainable progress. As a lifelong learner passionate about community leadership, I am dedicated to guiding our Town toward a strong and prosperous future.
Over the next two years, key priorities for our town include transportation, boundary agreements, shoreline lease management, and updates to County zoning and planning ordinances. Open, transparent communication with residents is essential. We must actively seek their input before making decisions to ensure we act in their best interests. Maintaining a vibrant, safe community where people can live and work remains a top priority. Additionally, maximizing local resources to promote recreation is vital. Ensuring residents and visitors have access to the river and opportunities for activities such as hiking, biking, birding, fishing, and hunting will help preserve our community’s outdoor heritage.
I am committed to preserving our residents' quality of life while ensuring responsible fiscal management. This means prioritizing essential services that strengthen our community while keeping taxes reasonable. I will keep residents informed, respond promptly to calls and emails, and continue learning about the duties of Town Supervisors. I will take advantage of training opportunities and attend regional Wisconsin Towns Association District meetings to stay updated on issues affecting towns across our state. I will serve on town committees as needed to ensure that we are addressing issues our town is facing.
