I've been a resident of this community for a long time, and want to help it continue to be a great place to live.
I've worked on community work group and boards before, most recently with the Normal Public Library. I've always been able to maintain a great working relationship with everyone involved, and I look forward to bringing that energy to Normal Township.
I want to expand on the excellent programs at the ARC, fully fund Township grants, and strengthen the Township's Project Labor Agreements with local unions.

I chose to run because I care about my community deeply. I have lived here my whole life, and I want to see Normal continue to grow. I have also seen and felt the impact of the current housing market, which has left many in our town struggling and homeless. This was at the forefront of my mind when I was approached to run for office. I want to do what I can to help our neighbors stay afloat. The extreme actions of the Trump administration have also lit a fire under me to keep working towards a better future.
I am a proud member of my union, BCTGM Local 342. I represent my fellow workers as a steward as well as a delegate to trades and labor. Being a steward has taught me lessons in mediation and teamwork. I am also a member of BNCLT, an up and coming community land trust focused on providing affordable housing options to people in our community. The past few years I have had the pleasure of managing successful county and school board campaigns for Democrats locally. Through my conversations with these seasoned elected officials I have learned quite a bit about local government and its responsibilities.
I hope to continue expanding upon the ARC senior center, and retain membership. I also hope to implement a handyman assistance program. This would provide moderate home repair service for seniors and people with disabilities in our community. I have participated in a similar program with BNCLT.

I have a strong belief in building community. I love living in Normal. I am proud to be raising my three children here. As Normal Township Trustee, I hope to contribute to this amazing community. I believe in our community. I believe in the Nonprofits that are serving this community. I also believe in the work the Township is already doing for our community such as the ARC center and reaching the needs of the most vulnerable. I am excited about exploring other ways to grow our community. I have a firm belief
that in order to build strength in your community, you must help those in need and not leave others behind. I want to be a leader for Normal that represents the needs of the people of Normal and empower others.
I have committed my life to service. I served for almost a decade on my child’s PTO board, three of those years as President. I also served as a member of the McLean County Unit 5 Citizens Advisory Council. As a career, I chose the path of Social Work. I began working as a Substance Abuse Counselor after college working with youth in a residential setting. Recently, I served as a
Family Coordinator for McLean County Unit 5 advocating for families, school staff, and school administrators in nine elementary schools. Currently, I serve as a School Social Worker
through Tri County Special Education Association advocating for the educational needs of students and families. I am a proud union member of the IEA.
PRESERVING & STRENGTHENING THE ARC
I will work with Township on protecting funding to continue the essential services the ARC provides seniors in our community, maintaining & improving the facility, saving & planning for future needs, and growing & retaining membership.
MAKING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
I will work with Township to make smart investments to upgrade township offices and modernize technology, allowing us to save taxpayer money in the future and better serve the township’s residents.
ENHANCING TOWNSHIP SERVICES
I will work with Township to continue the township’s essential services —emergency assistance programs, improving our roads, and snow removal — and continue to partner with organizations that strengthen our community.
