What qualifications and experience do you bring to this office?
What are the major goals you hope to achieve during the next term?
I was first elected to the Normal Township highway commissioner position in 2013. Previous to that my dad was the highway commissioner where I helped him maintain the roads for several years before seeking the office myself when my dad retired.
I have a degree in heavy equipment repair as well as many years of operating equipment. My experiences make me well suited for this position. The highway commissioner position includes snow removal, road ditch and drainage work, sign, upkeep, and facilitating road repairs.
my goal has always been to maintain the roads to keep travelers safe. Being on the north end of Normal, the roads I maintain are heavily traveled by cars and trucks as well as tractor trailers and farm equipment. Keeping the roads in good shape and signage intact keeps travelers safe which is my first priority.
