Warrenville Fire Protection District Trustee (full term)
Board members serve for a 3-year term. The Board of Fire and Police Commission (BOFPC) of the City of Warrenville derives its authority from the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Compiled Statutes, and from City of Warrenville City Code. BOFPC responsibilities include the following:To recruit, select, and appoint qualified candidates to fill vacancies for original appointment of Police OfficerTo determine testing and selection processes that allow qualified Police Department employees to participate in the promotional process for the position of SergeantTo conduct disciplinary hearings or appeals of sworn officersThe Board is not responsible for appointing the Chief of Police, a Mayoral appointment, or the position of Deputy Chief of Police, who is appointed by the Chief of Police.
