The most important needs not necessarily in order are supporting an adequate public safety. We can support are public safety system by providing adequate staffing levels and financial support when needed.
Another urgent need is supporting our natural resources of water for our town of Dallas. Water scarcity is very real. As concern citizens we all need to recognize we are behind the ball on this issue. We must start working now on ways to support water resources by looking at options. Do we need a dam. Can we get by with another water container that supports 2 million gallons a day. Should we partner with other towns in Polk County. I would put this to a vote by citizens. The town requires true leadership. I will always lead.
Making a difference in the lives of others truly inspires me. The aspect of helping citizens empower themselves through their voices and opinions and my willingness to help also excites me. None of us alone can make a difference. It takes a combination of citizens and elected officials working together for a common goal to flourish. As I walk and meet people of Dallas, I am amazed by how positivity and purpose can make things happen. As a City Councilor I want to be a voice for all citizens. The young and senior citizens. The working-class family and soccer mons and dads. Together we can help our community thrive into the 21st century. And continue to make Dallas, Oregon a place that we all are proud to call our hometown.
I am very passionate about supporting recreational activities infrastructure and water infrastructure.
During Dallas early history the entire town picked up and moved to get closer to water resources. We no longer have those luxuries. So will have to bring more water resources to the citizens of Dallas. We can do this by supporting a dam project that would create jobs for citizens of Dallas. While also allowing Dallas to collect more water upon completion of the dam project.
All of our citizen regardless of if they young or older can benefit from additional recreational infrastructure. Public parks, gardens, historical sites, and improvement in natural reserves would go a long way in improving our town. It enhances quality of life.

I have lived in Dallas for the past 8 years and have fallen in love with our community. I want to work together with the people of this town to make Dallas a town that we can collectively be proud of for future generations to come. We are growing very quickly and there are many things that need to be improved to sustain our continued growth for the people that call Dallas their home. Dallas is a small town but no matter how we grow it is the ability to work together and support our neighbors that can help us to maintain that small town feel. We need to improve the infrastructure of this town in order to serve the people which I have the opportunity to serve.
I have always believed that the only life worth living is a life that is lived in the service of others. I want a legacy that I can be proud of and know that I had a hand in making Dallas a shining example to other cities. We can bring together our differing ideas for the common good of everyone in this amazing city. Continuing to grow every aspect of the town, working with our school leaders to keep providing for our future leaders and people of this town, and having the ability to represent our citizens in choices to positively affect our future. My legacy will be that I worked tirelessly to make this world and our community a better place.
We need to work hard to improve our water supply system in order to sustain the incredible amount of growth that we have seen lately. Our town needs to realize that we are already growing at an incredible rate and we need to do a better job of encouraging business growth. Families often have to travel to bigger cities in order to get the things their families need. It should be our goal to encourage the growth of businesses in the area bringing much needed commerce and jobs to our little town. As a Dallas resident I would refer to do all of my shopping here at home and I encourage everyone to work hand in hand with the city to make this a reality.

As we look to the future, key areas must be addressed for Dallas to thrive. First, we need to ensure our water system is ready for future growth, maintaining infrastructure without straining resources. Second, we must focus on commercial and industrial development to support businesses, ease the burden on homeowners, and create more jobs. A strong local economy benefits everyone. Lastly, public safety is critical. As Chair of the Public Safety Committee, I’ve seen the importance of fully funding and supporting police, fire, and EMS to keep our community safe and build positive relationships.
The duty that interests me most as City Councilor is ensuring that all of Dallas' residents have a voice in the decisions that affect our community. I believe that every neighbor, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves to be heard and represented. This means actively listening, engaging with the community, and making sure their concerns are brought to the table. It’s about fostering an inclusive environment where all viewpoints are considered, and decisions are made with the best interest of everyone in mind. My goal is to build trust and ensure transparent, equitable governance for all.
The city's infrastructure needs include ensuring our water storage is forward-thinking and ready for commercial and industrial growth. We must maintain and, when needed, rebuild our roads. Additionally, our public safety systems, including fire, police, and ambulance services, need full support. To achieve this, Dallas must prepare to welcome new industrial and commercial growth, creating a more balanced tax base. By doing so, we can ease the financial burden on residents while ensuring the city thrives and grows sustainably.

Increasing the amount of family-wage jobs, supporting locally-owned businesses, public safety, and managing growth responsibly are the most urgent needs for Dallas.
All of these critical needs are related.
We would love to see more businesses open in Dallas. We have commercial, industrial, and retail space for them. That would make more jobs available for residents who need more stable employment. If our small city doesn't seem clean, safe, or able to sustain the needs of all businesses, those companies will not set up shop here.
Currently, residential building is happening all over town. We must have a sensible approach to balancing housing, workplaces, and adequate infrastructure.
I most enjoy hearing from Dallas residents. Their input is vital if they want us to make choices that reflect their needs. I often engage with business owners and other residents to get their feedback BEFORE a vote is held.
I also happen to be a research nerd, so getting background information about plans and proposals is important to me.
Dallas is currently in the planning, design, and execution stages of several projects. Increasing water supply and sewage capacity, maintaining and improving roads, conducting and acting on traffic and parking demands are part of our current budget and will continue to be focused on. Major projects take time and cooperation with other entities, including other cities, the state, and the federal government.
We get updates frequently on the progress of multiple projects. We also love hearing new ideas.
