Albion City Mayor
The City of Albion operates under the Council-Manager form of government. City residents elect a Mayor and a City Council to preside over the City, and the City Council appoints a City Manager to handle the day-to-day administration of the City. The City Manager makes recommendations to the Council, and the Council acts on business at regularly scheduled meetings.The Albion City Council consists of the Mayor and six Council members. Council members are elected to four-year terms, staggered every two years. A Mayor is elected every two years.The Mayor is the presiding officer of the City Council. He or she is a voting member of the Council. The Mayor makes all appointments approved by the Council except those required by law or ordinance to be made by another officer or agency of the City.
