Sweet Home urgent needs is not lowering the dam. The whole reason it was put in was to protect the people of Sweet Home and its neighboring cities / towns. Fix the crack like the city said they would and leave well enough alone. Next, there is the matter that our children they have no place to go to be a kid safely unless it's out of town. Why not take a building we have here in Sweet Home and make a place for them for all ages. It would have food, fun, a friendly family atmosphere with the revenue staying in SH. Next is low housing we are seeing an influx every year with Sweet Home residents and surrounding areas becoming low income or no income house and it's because the rent / cost of living keeps going up, but the pay stays the same.
Helping the people of Sweet Home to be heard. I like knowing there is a solution to every problem even if it's not for everyone. everyone knows I tried to come up with what is best for the whole not just a few.
Our dams are more then 50 years old and if the cracks are not fixed like they should be they will not hold up to an earthquake or strong flooding. The repairs should have been budgeted for every year or two. However, I would look for a government grant first, then take it to the people of Sweet Home for funding. The dams are a part of livelihood as they bring in people from other areas for fun, which intern they spend money here. Housing needs is next. We keep building more apartment, but it's as if Sweet Home residence is not being place first as they should be, but other towns people are. Yes, SH is growing, but let's house SH first and help get them the resources they need to be more successful.
