Brief Intro - 250 characters
Seth is a husband and father who has never had a choice on the ballot for his state house seat since moving to the district 8 years ago. Being fed up with the lack of choice, he decided to run himself. He focuses on centering working families.
As a supply chain specialist in the automotive industry, I specialize in implementing efficient systems with controls that ensure effectiveness. I will use this expertise when crafting legislation to ensure that there is no waist or abuse of our tax payer money. Furthermore I believe in experts and science, and will make sure any laws we pass are in alignment with what the data and research shows.
1) Election reforms - we are one of the most gerrymandered states in the nation and I want to implement non-partisan maps so the people can choose their representatives, not the other way around.
2) Focus on the working people - State legislators should focus on bringing down the costs of healthcare, childcare, groceries, and housing, not building hyperscale data centers in our backyards. SC's growth should come hand in hand with infrastructure investments and conservation.
3) Fact based legislation - Base laws on expert consensus and research and community feedback, not the personal views of lawmakers nor the whims of DC.
In addition to election reforms that make our districts more representative of the people who live in this state, I would like to implement term limits as well as ban lawmakers from holding individual stocks to discourage corruption. That being said, would also push to raise the annual wage of lawmakers to at least minimum wage, as presently there is significant financial risk to lawmakers who are not independently wealthy, often forcing them to work a second or third job while serving. This also encourages outside influence through financing.
