Put in place a far more equitable income tax system, rather than our current flat tax. The wealthy and corporations have avoided paying their fair share in Illinois for many decades.

Work toward moving term limits to the forefront of our political priorities.

Make access to the ballot much easier for independents and third-party candidates. The two major parties have made access to the ballot nearly impossible for others, leaving voters to frequently choose "the lesser of two evils." Illinois is 49th or 50th of the 50 states in this area, and there is much room for improvement.
The budget situation has improved in recent years, and it will improve further with repairs to our tax system as outlined above. As a 30+ year member of Physicians for a National Health Program, I will make access to affordable health care my highest priority. I would also put education near the top of that list; the quality of public schools should not be dependent on a child's zip code.
No evidence of any security issues. Would always lean toward improving access (expanding early voting, vote-by-mail, increased number of polling places, etc.)
1- overturn of Roe v Wade. Will continue work which has been done since Dobbs to ensure that Illinois citizens continue to maintain autonomy over their own bodies and health care.

2- climate change/environmental challenges

3- social/racial justice

4- gun violence.

Let it be noted that ALL of these issues are extremely important.
