As a REALTOR® for over 20 years, I have helped hundreds of families put down roots in communities in and around Johnson County, listening to their stories and needs to help them make some of the most impactful decisions in their lives. During my term as President of the Kansas Association of Realtors®, I worked with federal and state lawmakers to secure healthcare access for thousands of association members and identified solutions to make housing more attainable for Kansans across the state.
Strong Public Schools - We must fully fund our public schools including special education and keep lawmakers out of curriculum decisions. Attainable and affordable housing - Kansas is in a housing crisis and we must find solutions together with our local officials to increase affordable housing stock. Reproductive Rights - I stand with Kansas voters and the Kansas Constitution to protect reproductive rights and personal autonomy. We need to move our government away from the startling trend of trying to taking away freedoms.
I would be in favor of eliminating the process of Gut and Go, which ultimately decrease transparency and makes following the legislative process nearly impossible. Otherwise, there must be user-friendly access with real-time updates for the public to follow what really happens to a bill as it moves through the legislative process.
Kansas has relatively fair election laws that are constantly under attack. I support advanced ballot voting and I support ballot drop boxes, and strongly oppose any tactic to make those less accessible.
