I have the leadership and experience necessary to preserve all the wonderful aspects of Roseville while working to ensure it continues to thrive in the future. I currently serve on the Planning Commission and prior to that I volunteered as an EMT on various fire departments. This experience provides me the understanding necessary to serve the residents of Roseville. In my professional career I start and grow tech startups. My last one was CrowdStrike. I know how to take an idea to completion be it small or large while leading a team of just a few to a few thousand. I will ensure the ideas and thoughts or Roseville's residents are heard and acted on.
My priorities are public safety, parks, strong neighborhoods, and responsible finances. Ensuring we live in a safe and well cared for community is critical for Roseville's continued success. Maintaining and growing our parks/trails is core to what is Roseville. Diversity of housing balanced with preserving existing neighborhoods is important for those already living here and those that want to. Investments in infrastructure with responsible taxes is needed for it to all work.
Community engagement is essential for a healthy city. This means not only listening to ideas and concerns that residents bring forward but also reaching out and asking residents. I plan to do both. I’ll work to ensure everyone knows they have a voice in matters and they share it. I’ll prioritize community engagement be it through existing channels (surveys, city newsletter, social media and public forums) as well as exploring new means. I’ll always make myself available to residents.
City government needs to be transparent and accountable for its residents. I will ensure the laws and processes in place for this are followed. I will also work to make sure residents are as informed about decisions being made and when necessary delay those decisions until more residents know about them. I will always encourage residents to ask questions of their city government and work to get them answered.

I will bring new energy and a fresh perspective to the Roseville City Council. We need a leader that is willing to listen, bring community together, and meet challenges head-on. I am this person. For the past decade, I have worked in local government and have seen firsthand how effective policies can positively transform lives and communities. I promise to work for the people of Roseville. Roseville deserves leadership that is responsive and transparent, actively engages residents, and effectively translates aspirations and concerns into action.

My wife and I moved to Roseville to start our family. I appreciate that Roseville was built by those before me, and I will work to strengthen Roseville for the next generation.
1. I will work to create a Roseville that is welcoming and affordable to working families. I support budgets that balance today's needs with proactive policies that position Roseville for success down the road.

2. At a city level, we must work to address climate change by leveraging funding opportunities to make our city's infrastructure more resilient.

3. I support policies and investments that increase access and accessibility to Roseville’s parks, outdoor spaces, and recreation systems.
Engaging residents of Roseville is a key element to effective leadership. First, I promise to actively listen to all residents and remain curious in disagreement. Second, I'll work to meet residents where they are. I promise to hold 'Coffee with Josh' events to remain connected to our community. Finally, I'll work to analyze our systems of governance in recognition that some residents face systematic roadblocks when accessing programs.
I have worked professionally in Ramsey and Dakota Counties for the last decade and understand the importance of open and honest governance. I will support policies that place city data at the fingertips of residents, including an Open Data dashboard. I promise to meet with city leadership to evaluate and improve systems of accountability. I am committed to an environment of transparency and integrity.

I care deeply about Roseville and want to continue to build on the work that I've started in the past four years. While on council, I have supported embedding social workers into the police department, banning conversion therapy, seating an Equity and Inclusion Manager and building a new Equity and Inclusion Commission, supporting expansion of our housing options, and ending bias in housing through participation in Just Deeds. These actions reflect values that Roseville citizens have shared with me - the people who continue to choose to raise their families and be your neighbors in Roseville.
PEOPLE of Roseville - I will make sure they are the priority, not just buildings, vehicles and equipment. FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY - Funding of an augmented fire service, embedded social workers in the pd, and other important intiatives will be critical as we no longer receive federal funds. ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION - EV charging stations, green to-go packaging, and lowered residential speed limits are only a few things can explore Roseville to help the environment.
Since 2020, I've served on the Ramsey County League of Local Governments, the Board of Metro Cities, visited houses of worship, attended community events, and engaged with the school board, students at Roseville High School, and members of the Roseville Business community. I've frequented small businesses and connected them to city programs. I've encouraged all council members to attend city events to ensure we are engaged with our community. I'm always to new ways to get involved!
City government has many “built-in” transparency tools. From open meeting laws, to public notice of all ordinance changes and meeting minutes, the information is available. But “being” there isn’t enough. I will continue to help people find the info they seek and to advocate for other resources for engagement, including community reporting. Members of the community may not have comfort in coming to us, so city representatives must keep meeting people in their own neighborhoods!
