Border security and immigration reform, inflation, and significantly dealing with federal spending and the national debt. These are my priorities because they are the things constituents are talking to me about the most. The good people of western Minnesota are hurting from fentanyl, rising prices, and feeling like they are falling behind. We must prioritize these issues to help our rural communities be strong and successful.
We can revitalize our economy by unlocking our energy resources. The Biden Administration has done everything they can to stop U.S. oil and gas production, causing high fuel and utility prices, and increasing our dependence on adversarial nations. We must reverse course to promote America’s energy independence. Also, the federal government must stop spending money it doesn’t have. House Republicans have a plan to balance the federal budget and prevent critical trust funds from becoming insolvent
Definitely not the Green New Deal, which is a war on agriculture and fossil fuels. We have affordable and abundant resources to lower greenhouse gas emissions in our biofuels industry. I’m a member of the Congressional Biofuels Caucus, a bipartisan group that advances policies to support this industry. From conventional gasoline to sustainable aviation fuel, these products can be produced here in our backyard, creating jobs in rural western MN while achieving significant reductions in emissions.
We should not turn over 1/6 of our economy to the federal government, put healthcare decisions into the hands of bureaucrats, and raise everyone’s taxes to pay for it. Independent studies show that proposals like Medicare for All would close rural hospitals and result in fewer physicians in rural areas. Any federal healthcare policy reform should always put the patient’s needs first, and that includes protecting coverage for individuals with pre-existing conditions.
We cannot allow Congress to nationalize our elections. The Constitution established that state legislatures set election laws. In Minnesota, we need Voter ID and provisional balloting in order to make it easy to vote, but hard to cheat.

Healthcare Accessibility and Reform Every American deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their income or geographic location. This includes expanding healthcare services in rural areas and ensuring that birthing centers are adequately funded and accessible.

Economic Equality and Job Creation Economic inequality is a significant issue,I am committed to creating policies that support job creation, fair wages, and economic opportunities for all.

Immigration Reform

I am dedicated to creating a fair and humane system that upholds the values of the United States as a nation of immigrants. This includes providing a pathway to citizenship for u immigrants, protecting the rights of asylum seekers, while providing safe border.
I will support a vibrant economy by investing in infrastructure, education, and renewable energy, creating millions of good-paying jobs. I will champion small businesses with tax incentives and grants, ensuring they thrive and innovate. To address inflation, I will promote fair wage policies, stabilize supply chains, and regulate corporate practices that drive up costs. By fostering economic growth and ensuring fair market practices, he aims to create a resilient and inclusive economy for all.
We must harden our infrastructure to minimize the future cost of the damage we have already caused. I will address climate change by supporting the transition to renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. I will advocate for re.joining international climate agreements and implementing stricter environmental regulations. I will also invest battery technology and grid improvements to make a clean future'
I believe the country should ensure quality, affordable healthcare for all by expanding Medicare, negotiating lower drug prices, and increasing funding for community health centers. I support comprehensive reproductive health services, including access to contraception, prenatal care, and safe, legal abortion. By prioritizing preventive care, investing in healthcare infrastructure, and protecting reproductive rights, I will work to create a fair and accessible healthcare system for all.
I support measures to secure and improve elections by advocating for universal mail-in voting, extended early voting periods, and same-day voter registration. I champion the protection of voting rights through legislation like the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. I also call for increased funding for election security, including cybersecurity measures to protect against interference. Ensuring accessible polling locations and eliminating voter ID laws are key to an inclusive and secure voting.
