WisEye Interview (If Available)

As the OB/GYN who successfully restored reproductive rights to Wisconsin, my priorities in office are clear and deeply rooted in my commitment to health and equity. I bring a unique combination of expertise, compassion, and dedication, and am committed to building a healthier, more equitable, and prosperous Wisconsin. At my core, it is essential that we create federal protections for women seeking the full scope of reproductive care. This will be my immediate priority. Lowering the cost of living is a top priority. I will support economic policies that provide relief to working families, such as raising the minimum wage and expanding access to affordable healthcare. My background in healthcare gives me unique insights into the challenges families face, and I will use this perspective to ensure equity. Supporting rural communities is also one of my priorities. I will work to address the issue of rural broadband, essential for education and expanding economic opportunities, and bridging
As a practicing OB/GYN physician and proud Wisconsinite, I will advocate for policies that ensure all Wisconsinites have equitable access to comprehensive health care services, including contraception, IVF, and abortion. This includes supporting state funding for reproductive health clinics, fighting for expanded Medicaid coverage, and opposing restrictive laws that limit reproductive rights. My goal is to ensure every individual in Wisconsin has the freedom and resources to make informed decisions about their health.
I will propose measures that balance humane treatment of immigrants and refugees with national security. This includes advocating for comprehensive immigration reform, providing clear, efficient, and fair pathways to citizenship, ensuring access to legal and social services, and upholding the rights and dignity of all individuals. Additionally, I will support border security measures that are effective and humane, focusing on training and support for our border security agents, utilization of modern technology to complete comprehensive background checks, and the improvement of processing systems rather than promotion of punitive policies.
To promote a healthy economy and lower the cost of living for Wisconsinites, I support policies that invest in education, infrastructure, and healthcare. This includes expanding access to affordable healthcare, increasing funding for public education and job training programs, promoting access to affordable childcare, and investing in infrastructure projects that create jobs and improve our communities. Additionally, I advocate for raising the minimum wage and providing tax relief for working families. These measures will help ensure economic growth and make it easier for all Wisconsinites to afford their daily goods and services.
To ensure Wisconsin remains resilient to the impacts of climate change, I will support policies that promote clean energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance infrastructure to withstand extreme weather events. This includes investing in renewable energy sources, supporting sustainable farming practices, and upgrading our infrastructure to be more climate-resilient. Additionally, I'll advocate for state and federal funding for research and initiatives that help Wisconsin's agricultural sector adapt to changing conditions, ensuring our communities and economy can thrive in the face of climate challenges.
