I graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor degree in Secondary Education. My specific degree being a Social Studies Composite. I taught at Star Valley High School for 29 years after a year of teaching Utah. I have received multiple Teacher of the Year awards locally as well as was recognized as VFW Social Studies Teacher of the Year for the State of Wyoming. I have always stayed involved in community, state and national issues and participated as much as possible in the process. I feel like I have a natural ability to connect with hard working people. I have had many opportunities where I was chosen to lead and advise groups by effectively bringing people together to make progress.
I would support capping property tax at 2019 levels with a 1% increase thereafter. Special relief to the elderly and young families in their first home. I am also a proponent of shifting to more of a consumption tax structure. This way you have complete control over your taxes. I also believe that some of the savings put away last year should be used to give property tax relief in areas hardest hit.
I am pro-life. I would not change from there
I believe in local control. I believe that better decisions for that particular city or county knows best for what it needs and should proceed from there
I do not support changes to the voting registration with the exception of the need to provide voter id to be eligible to vote. I think we need to make sure that our identification and voting is secure.
