My primary areas are reducing crime; criminal justice reform; food insecurity; maternal health; workforce development; economic development and public education. These are all issues that are pertinent to my community and, that if improved, will bring Jackson County back to the glory I know it can be.
Revamping tax incentives and tax increment financing. I have filed legislation for 7 years to address the inequities of these programs and will continue to file. By educating my colleagues I have been able to make some movement on TIF and am confident I will be able to succeed to make it more fair to all of Jackson County not just the more affluent areas.
