I have over 31yrs experience with the Assessor’s office. I started as a Field Appraiser in 1993. I served as Field Supervisor for 25yrs, was promoted to Chief Deputy Assessor in 2021 and in 2023 appointed as County Assessor by the Laramie County Commissioners. My constant dedication to the Assessor’s office has given me the knowledge and training necessary to carry out the duties of the office. I also recently retired from the Wyoming Army National Guard as a Senior NCO with over 20 years.
The Assessor’s office maintains customer service as a top priority. I have an open-door policy and welcome visitors to the office. I continue to ensure staff are trained and educated to answer questions and serve the public in a professional manner.
Staffing is and will continue to be a concern. Legislative tax relief policies will go into effect in the upcoming year. I strive to cross train all members of the staff so that they are up to speed on the new policies and can serve the citizens of Laramie County better.
I have observed and assisted my previous supervisors create and maintain a conservative budget. I continue to maintain a conservative budget in my office without compromising service to our citizens. Recently policies have been placed to minimize mailing costs which help combat the increase in postage. My staff and I continue to discuss improved practices to work more efficiently.
