Women in Iowa should have the autonomy to make their own medical decisions with their physicians and family without politicians getting involved. I have complete faith in the women of Iowa to make the decisions that are best for them.
We need to be sure we are providing a comprehensive 21st Century education to every student from birth through high school that is both free and appropriate in our public schools. In order to ensure this happens we need to fully fund our public schools while attracting and retaining the most qualified educators we can.

Additionally, minimum wage in our state is years behind where it should be in 2024. Post-secondary education options including trade schools, community colleges and our state institutions need to be affordable and supported by our state. Lastly, childcare needs to be affordable so parents can afford to join the workforce without having to worry about if their small children are being care for appropriately.
We should repeal the permitless carry legislation that was passed. We need to improve our mental health system in the state and finally fully fund public safety to be certain our law enforcement agencies and officers have the resources to enforce and investigate perpetrators of violent crime and gun laws.
We have free and fair elections in our state and we need to make it easy for the citizens of Iowa to cast their ballot. We have continued to make it more difficult to have Iowans’ voices heard at the ballot box and we can and must do better as a state.
We have some of the best public research institutions in the country right here in our state and must invest in higher education. We need to reinstate the solar tax credit and work with our farmers to make affordable and environmentally friendly farming a reality.
