Every family/woman, with the advice and help of doctors, should be the decision makers about family planning and what happens to their bodies. Government should never be apart of that process. I feel that some law makers want to see history repeat itself. I'm not one of them. It wasn't too long ago that native american women were being sterilized. It's time for a change
I would help pass legislation to raise the minimum wage. See what areas funding and moneys aren't being spent wisely and make appropriate adjustments. I know the pandemic had an impact on the economy but I also think big corporations shouldn't take advantage of the people by price gouging. I would also look into what resources and programs are available to those in need.
I believe the people should definitely have the right to own guns. To be able to protect themselves and to hunt. But being a victim of gun violence I think there should be guidelines and regulations in place so that just not everyone is able to possess 1. Background checks are a must. I think permits should be put back into place. And absolutely no guns allowed in schools. Metal detectors would be a good investment for the safety of our kids.
Being able to vote should never be suppressed or be difficult to do. Everyone has the right to vote. I think there should be longer turn around time frames for mailing in any forms. There should be a better system in place to let all voters aware of voting changes that would affect them and the voting process. I will be willing to help with any voting legislation to make it easier and fair to get the people out to vote.
I know times are changing and everyone is always looking for a better way to bring more jobs and energy to the state and USA. But if we aren't careful there won't be a state to have jobs in. Being native american, I support positive changes that would affect our climate to have more healthy land, water, air and people. I support more studies on climate change as well as testing air, water and land. Any clean alternative to sustain ourselves is a step in the right direction
