Brief Intro - 250 characters
I am a retired registered nurse with decades of experience providing compassionate care, promoting public health, and advocating for individuals and families. My nursing career strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
As a nurse and patient advocate, I learned that advocacy is not about being the loudest person in the room. It is about listening, understanding different perspectives, finding common ground, and making sure the person who needs help doesn't get lost in the process or fall through the cracks. I believe this approach is paramount in politics.
In the State House, I will strongly advocate for the people in District 38 while working with anyone- Democrat, Republican, or Independent- who is willing to find practical solutions to the problems facing our community. You don't have to agree on everything to work together productively and respectfully.
1. Legacy to leave future generations with a better SC
2. Create affordable, accessible healthcare for all and expand Medicaid
3. Protecting individual freedoms and fighting for equal rights
I am running for the South Carolina House of Representatives because I believe our communities deserve leaders who put people before politics. My campaign is focused on expanding access to affordable healthcare, protecting individual freedoms, supporting equal rights for all, strengthening public education, creating economic opportunity, and helping working families achieve financial security and homeownership. I am committed to transparent, ethical leadership, working across party lines when possible, and ensuring every constituent has a voice in state government. My goal is to build a stronger, healthier, and more prosperous South Carolina for current and future generations.
