Brief Intro - 250 characters Born and raised in South Carolina—this is home. I’m running to stand up for working people and protect the American Dream: affordable housing and healthcare, safe schools, smart growth, and protecting every eligible voter’s voice.
I bring more than 30 years of community service and experience helping people overcome barriers and achieve their goals. I have developed after-school programs, provided community education and career guidance, and worked with low- and moderate-income and justice-impacted residents. As a nonprofit leader, I understand how policies affect people on the ground. I hold a master's degree in Youth Development Leadership and have served in civic leadership roles. Most importantly, I know how to listen, collaborate, ask questions, and work hard. I will bring practical experience, transparency, and a commitment to serving people—not politics—to the State House.
My top three priorities are workforce housing, affordable healthcare, and smart growth with safe communities. I will work to expand housing options that working families can afford and protect housing stability; pursue practical ways to improve access to healthcare and lower costs; and ensure our infrastructure, schools, public safety, and emergency services keep pace with growth. Across these priorities, I will focus on affordability and making sure working people benefit from South Carolina's economic growth.
I would support greater transparency, stronger conflict-of-interest safeguards, and clearer disclosure of relationships that could influence legislation. We should also reduce the influence of special interests and ensure constituents have meaningful access to their representatives. I support examining legislative pay and housing or travel support so qualified working people can afford to serve—not just those with significant personal resources. I would also encourage greater public access to legislative information and more opportunities for bipartisan collaboration. Public office should operate with accountability, efficiency, and a clear understanding that we work for the people.
