My blend of professional experience and personal investment provides a unique perspective. I am deeply committed to ensuring all students, whether pursuing college or trade paths, have the necessary resources and support for success. Meeting the needs of diverse learners is crucial for fostering inclusive and equitable educational environments. Equally important is ensuring we advocate for and provide support to the invaluable teachers and support staff in our community.

I have spent twenty years in the Big Sky School District, holding roles as a tenured teacher, librarian, and WMPAC operations manager. I also served on the board of Morningstar Learning Center for seven years. My children attended school in the district from K-12th grade.

The school board serves as the guiding force behind crucial decisions affecting education quality. Their primary responsibility lies in crafting and implementing policies that enhance the educational experience for students. Additionally, they manage budgets and engage in long-term planning to ensure sustainable growth and continuous improvement within the educational system.

The biggest issues facing our district in the next three years is budget shortfalls due to enrollment. This difficult problem with require focused attention and action. Engaging with stakeholders, including staff, parents, and the community, is essential to provide valuable insights and support for difficult decisions.
