Growth has outpaced the infrastructure while the budget analysis of the cost of growth has been severely underestimated. I would like to foster better fiscal understanding by implementing safeguards and analysis to adequately set realistic budget. Root Cause Analysis: I am making a commitment to transparency and this involves pinpointing the root causes of budget discrepancies. Clear visibility will allow us to make informed decisions. Leadership Alignment: Leadership must be fully aligned with the vision and goals of the county as outlined in the comp plan and culture of 2C. Behavior Change: The culture of the county can be enhanced by collectively looking at new ways of thinking and working into our daily practices. This shift also helps align control around costs. Rigorous Implementation: Setting up robust project management and performance indicators ensures strict control over our cost efficiency program.
I bring experience and expertise to the table. Here’s a snapshot of my qualifications:

Continuous Learning: I have diligently stayed current in my education, particularly in the fields of Human Resources (HR) and Economics. My commitment to ongoing learning ensures that I remain well-versed in the latest industry trends and best practices. Board Leadership: Currently, I serve on several non-profit boards, where I actively contribute to strategic decision-making, governance, and mission-driven initiatives. My role involves shaping policies, fostering collaboration, and driving positive impact within the community. Forensic Audit Leadership: I have honed my skills in meticulously examining financial records, detecting irregularities, and ensuring compliance. My attention to detail and analytical mindset allow me to uncover critical insights that inform decision-making. Budget Expertise: In-Depth Budget Reports: I have prepared comprehensive short & long term budgets- strategic planning
As a commissioner, I recognize that my role is not one of privilege or superiority; rather, I am a subset of the people— entrusted with the responsibility of serving our community. To ensure that your voices are heard and valued,

Canyon County is growing at a rapid pace. Keeping the balance of farm land versus new development is critical. Canyon County has a long history rooted in Agriculture, but we welcome those who want to come eat, play and enjoy what it has to offer. Coordinated efforts by all government agencies are imperitive to a thriving community. The voices of citizens are critical when decisions about growth are being made. I propose that a coordinated effort be made to receive "all" input in a timely fashion. The BOCC oversees this service for the county and people are waiting for sometimes years to receive answers about their property rights. This is unacceptable. Property taxes are key to keeping our ecomony thriving. Government should work hard to balance relief for its' citizens and create plans to limit overspending. I believe governments are not designed to stockpile taxpayers money, but to take what they need to provide services to the community in a fiscally responsible fashion.
I have been serving in my community for the last 20 years. I am native to Canyon County and am aware of all that it has to offer. I have been running a nonprofit for the last 15 years and recently joined the local school board during COVID. This experience has given me a greater depth of government and how it should work. I worked hard to get students back in school fulltime and did just that on November 16, 2020. Going against the popular consent shows our kids have benefited from this greatly. I have spent the last 2 1/2 years as the Board Chair and am happy to say the school district is moving forward in a united fashion. This has been a great experience learning to listen to all parties and find the right solutions. Another important aspect is watching the budget of the school district. This is a hot topic and we worked hard to keep patrons involved and informed on the compilation of our budget. I am ready to continue on with community service in a different capacity,
I believe in an open door policy. Elected officials should work tirelessly to hear all voices of concern, praise and criticism. I will be vested in learning the experiences people are having in their communities and interactions with Canyon County. Feedback is important and allows the natural accountability to occur for an elected official.
