I graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Accounting. My professional career has been spent in the private sector in either an accounting or finance area. For many years, I spent my career being the Controller for large commercial construction projects. I have supervised the administration of monies for projects from $500M to $11 Billion where project Owners built steel mills, cement plants, and even Casinos. I currently serve as the Treasurer for the Board of Directors of Health West. Health West is a non-profit, Community Health Center headquartered in Pocatello, Idaho. My goal as a County Commissioner is really simple. I will represent District 1 which is primarily the southern end of Bannock County. That said, I would support any actions by private enterprise that wants to work on perceived climate change issues so long as it is not anti-human nor impede human flourishing. I would be open to discussions involving the installation and usage of a SMR somewhere in Bannock County.
I am a conservative and believe that County Commissioners should concentrate on the jobs they have mandates from the citizens for: roads, bridges and public safety. If those functions are un-improvable, then the Commissioners should reduce the people’s taxes.
