Given my background as a Certified Financial Planner and my prior public service as a Pasco County Commissioner, City Council Member, and Mayor, I have a unique set of experiences to assist the District. I have a passion for serving my community and have done so for over 40 years. In January 2021, the Florida Commissioner of Agriculture called me and asked me to accept a vacant position on the Pasco County Mosquito Control District Board of Commissioners. The vacancy I filled is the same seat my opponent in this race resigned from just 65 days after being reelected in 2020. He resigned due to his deteriorating health. Now, at 83, he is seeking the seat again.
1. Protect the public’s health from mosquito-borne diseases. 2. Provide fiscal conservative leadership.
Absolutely! During the design process of our proposed new complex, we have incorporated many sustainable energy features
Our mosquito control process is driven strictly by a science-based integrated management program. Every day, traps are counted, water samples are collected, and sentinel chickens are tested for indications of mosquito-borne diseases. Based on this information, the district determines where to deploy our assets (personnel and equipment) to treat the areas of concern. The equitability of a particular county demographic does not play a part in the decision process. The district's only goal is to protect the public's health.
The District was created in 1951 by a voter referendum serving only West Pasco. Since then, it has expanded five times at the request of an initial petition by area residents. In 2003, the District boundaries encompassed all of Pasco County. Like every other public entity, our county’s growth requires increased demand for service. The current campus, located in West Pasco, was built in 1987 and the majority of the buildings are not rated to survive a hurricane. Locating the campus more centrally in the county will allow the District to function more efficiently and faster. Through my financial stewardship, the new campus will be built without raising taxes. The result will be a District Campus that is better positioned to achieve our goal of protecting the public's health.

No because a lot of citizens in the county are not being treated even in my neighborhood and throughout the county
They do not need a new facility they can spend five million dollars on the current facility and it will be sufficient for the next twenty years and not put the taxpayers in debt for 40 years
