City of Hermiston Municipal Judge
The Hermiston Municipal Court is the judicial branch of Hermiston City government. The Court has jurisdiction over all city and state law offenses committed within the city limits of Hermiston, excluding felony matters. The Judge is the chief adjudicator of these cases. Candidates for Municipal Judge must be an active member of the Oregon state bar and must have at least 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney. They must be a resident or maintain a principal residence in the city, and must complete a course on courts of special jurisdiction offered by the National Judicial College.Term: 2 years. This position is nonpartisan.
