My priorities are aligned with the most urgent issues in our city and my own personal and professional experience:

Housing and homelessness: I will support more affordable housing options, increase our overall housing supply, work closely with our area's nonprofits and Lane county on services, as well as work on policy to help prevent homelessness.

Mental health: My 14 years of experience in the behavioral health field here gives me the depth of experience needed to help the city address the root causes of our Mental Health crisis, and develop the workforce needed.

Climate: I will work to ensure that Eugene remains a national leader on climate action to protect our environment for our children and many generations to come.
As the Executive Director of a local nonprofit, current City Councilor for Ward 7, and mom of three, I am passionate about serving our community to improve the lives of all that live, work, and play here. I have a Master of Public Administration in Organizational Sustainability and have worked for our community’s nonprofits for the past 15 years, raising millions of dollars to improve our behavioral health care system. As Councilor, I serve on the Budget Committee, Revenue Advisors Committee, Lane Workforce Partnership, and Human Rights Commission. I work every hard every day to address the many challenges our city is facing. I believe myself to be the right choice for leading bold change so Eugene can be a city for ALL.
Transparency and public accountability are very important to me. Recorded meetings on our Youtube channel have made accessing city meetings much more accessible, but access to public records could be simplified. Ability to pay for public records shouldn't be the end point for getting information that should be available. Accountability really is acknowledging failures and where we might have gone wrong and committing to do better with the information that we have, and representing the people that make up our districts to the best of our ability, and that is a pledge that I make to my Ward.

1) Safety: As compassionate individuals, we have endured. Experts in behavioral treatments, crime reduction have endorsed me because we will prioritize policy that returns safety & vitality in our neighborhoods, parks, & small businesses. 2) Sustainable Climate Resilience: Our current energy grid demands we still diversify to keep household energy bills manageable. Voters, deserve the right to vote on life sustaining energy options for equitable living. Policies are needed for incentives. No ban without a plan. 3) Housing: Investing in actual affordable housing & not changing zoning that uncomfortably over densifies our neighborhoods or forces annexation. Supporting Local builders. Lowering SDCs. Lowering area median income for lower rents.
As a community member of Eugene for over 25 years I have demonstrated a commitment to education and leadership. I work-studied my way through the University of Oregon for a degree in Biology & minor in Chemistry. My experience in medical labs and real-world science situations contributed to preparing me for a career in public service. For the past decade, I have been an integral part of the small business community. I have developed strong relationships with local business owners and have a deep understanding of the challenges they face. As co-founder of 15th Night & 4J ID program I have passion for community. As a City Councilor I will deliver tangible local outcomes for society. My proven leadership prioritizes results-driven policies.
In order to truly represent the will of the people, we must be able to do the research required to provide fact-based transparency. This includes being transparent about our decision-making process and the information that informs our choices, so that voters can feel confident that their voices are being heard. I am the councilor that will bring accountability & transparency in city government.
