2024 Grant County Treasurer

The Treasurer typically controls the flow of money to and from a County and maintains records for the receipt, investment, and payment of County funds. The Treasurer maintains bank accounts at various banks as well as the State Treasury Local Government Investment Pool. The Treasurer may serve as the investment manager for the county. To qualify, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter, a resident of the district for at least 1 year prior to election, and age 18 or older.Term: 4 years. This position is nonpartisan.

Your Experience/Qualifications I am proud to have over twenty years of bookkeeping and account management experience. My experience started in 2000 working for an amazing CPA in Southern Oregon that made her passion for accounting light something inside of my heart and turned into a passion for checks and balances. Being passionate about something causes me to excell and strive to grow my skills with enthusiasm.

I have over twenty years of bookkeeping and account management experience. I excell in budgeting funds allocated to various departments within a business, reconciling multiple bank accounts, preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, weekly and monthly reports, timely bill payment, payroll processing and payroll tax payments as well as quarterly tax filings. My passion for record keeping and excitement for learning drives me to continue to educate myself. I believe my community deserves a person that they can trust to be transparent and give accurate detailed reports to our county departments. I am a trustworthy person, willing to learn, communicate respectfully and will always do what's right. That is my promise to my community.
To maintain cash for disbursement, invest surplus funds for the county, maintained detailed accounts, reconcile accounts, distribute tax collection and other revenue to districts within the county, provide detailed financial reports, maintain records, prepare receipts, sign checks, balance deposit slips, supervise department employees and assist with and review work performance, answer public inquiries, post funds to department budgets, review payroll process, post payroll and payroll deductions to department accounts, disburse petty cash, obtain receipts, attend trainings and meetings, and order and maintain inventory of office supplies and charge dispense them to various departments.
I will maintain an excellent working relationship with the special tax districts by meeting with members, listening to their concerns, and work with them to make sure their voices are heard so we can come up with resolutions that satisfy the district and the county.
