In the 2025 legislative session, my priorities are economic growth and community safety. I will propose legislation to halt the implementation of tolling on I-205, which disproportionately affect working Oregonians, and instead ensure that we have a just transportation funding system that accounts for and includes local voices. For community safety, I will advocate for increased funding for services supporting victims of domestic and sexual violence, and expand programs for addiction recovery.
The Legislature should increase funding for K-12 education to reduce class sizes and provide comprehensive support services. We must also invest in professional development for educators to enhance instructional quality and incorporate technology to better prepare students for the future. Additionally, we need to revisit our grants process so we have equitable resources distribution to ensure all students, regardless of background, have access to quality education.
The state legislature should actively legislate to reduce income inequality by implementing progressive taxation and enhancing labor protections to ensure fair pay and work conditions. Additionally, investing in affordable housing, healthcare access, and education can help level the socioeconomic playing field. Supporting small businesses and promoting job creation in high-demand sectors are also crucial. I advocate for policies that boost economic opportunities for underrepresented and lower-income communities, ensuring that growth benefits all Oregonians.

Restore Oregon's Economic Opportunity and Prosperity

Pass policies that create family wage jobs, more opportunities, and enable hard working families to earn a living. Reduce taxes and red tape on Oregon's families, farmers, and small businesses. Reduce energy, food and housing costs by removing burdensome regulations and mandates.

Restore Law and Order on Oregon Streets Remove dangerous criminals from our streets. Expand police funding, training, and support. Increase penalties for sex offenders, and violent criminals.
Restore Sanity to Oregon Schools Expand educational freedom so families have options when their neighborhood public schools fail them. Restore student graduation standards to Oregon schools. Create after-school programs for homeless youth.
There are a number of factors that can contribute to income inequality. As a legislator I would look to stop income inequality at every level.
