The County Clerk is the chief election officer responsible for administration of elections for the county. The Clerk serves as ex officio to the Board of County Commissioners and maintains the minutes from proceedings and all related material. The Clerk’s Office is the repository for public documents including real estate records, marriage records, occupation licenses and informal probate. Four-year term.

I have been in the 6 years, working every aspect and duty. I am hands on in the daily function for recording public land records, probates and marriage licenses. I also am a vital role in administering elections, from proofing ballots to the post-election voting system check, I am in the trenches getting things done. I attend all classes and every election school to stay up to date on all processes and laws.
Preservation and making all public documents more easily accessible for public viewing.
I plan on making it a focus for the Clerk's office to work diligently on digitizing all land documents for ease of access for the public. I am already looking into grants available for such projects and possibly designating a position in the office to help achieve this goal.
I believe voter outreach needs to be addressed early on. Historically voter outreach doesn't happen until weeks before the election. I believe that's too late. I plan to start voter outreach months ahead of time so all voters are informed and prepared to cast a ballot. I also plan to post election notices beyond what is required statutorily to better reach the public body and get them involved in the election process.
I believe this is not necessary. A voter has multiple options to request an absentee ballot application if that is their preferred method of voting. To send all registered voters an absentee ballot application would be a waste of supplies, effort and money.
