I am a former Trustee and Mayor Pro Tem for 6 years as an elected official with the City of Anthony, NM from 2016 to 2021. During my tenure I wrote many policies, resolutions, and ordinances for the financial security and internal procedural practices of the City of Anthony, NM. I attended training sessions in government law and finances every year while I was in office.
My priority will be to have open communication to learn and educate myself on the issues and needs of every community in my district by presenting myself frequently to the public at community sites to listen to their concerns. I hope to work in collaboration with other branches of government from municipalities, county, and state for safer communities.

I am a life-long citizen of Dona Ana County, living in the home my grandparents built in the early 1900's. I am dedicated to working with school boards and NOT acquiesce to being like the rest of the state, 50th in education. I am able to work with local, state and federal agencies to ensure dams in the area will not result in breakage such as La Union, Chamberino, Santa Teresa and Sunland Park as in past years. I have worked with local, state and federal agencies in the past as well as helped lobby the state legislature for funds for scholarships at NMSU.
Fiscal and budget issues Veteran and citizen homelessness Finding well-paying jobs for legal citizens Clean water and safe dams Assistance for stray animals
Work with school districts to prioritize Civics, US Government and US History beginning with 1st grade.

Work to educate voter population on the US Constitution and how our government came to be.
I completely support paper ballots AND valid ID for ALL persons voting and hand counting of ballots. Larger states and counties are doing it, so can Dona Ana!
