It is the responsibility of the County treasurer to serve as the bank for the County. Aside from the mailing and taking of property tax payments this office also takes in all other monies for Misc. receipting i.e. Clerk Fee's, Sheriff Fee's, DWI Fee's etc. The Treasurer must account for all incoming and outgoing money. At the beginning of each month the Treasurer's Office needs to disburse all tax payments collected back out to its respected entities collected for the prior month as well as reconcile for the prior month. It's also the responsibility of the Treasurer's Office to over see all investments for the county and it's taxpayer dollars.
Here at Cibola County our County Commission Board serves as the Board of Finance. Any investment decisions made will be done so under their advisement. I will also make sure every taxpayer dollar is given "Due Diligence" it deserves.
