Occupation Real Estate Broker
During my time on the Rio Rancho School Board from 2013 to 2021, I gained valuable skills directly applicable to a state representative role. I have an understanding of education policies, funding, curriculum, school administration, budgeting and capital outlay. Engaging with parents and the community to build relationships and represent constituents effectively. My advocacy, negotiation, decision-making, collaboration, policy analysis, and communication skills further qualify me.
My top priority is to reduce crime rates in New Mexico by implementing strong legislation. This involves creating and enforcing laws that specifically tackle key concerns such as reducing repeat offenses, strengthening law enforcement capabilities, and improving community safety. I support measures that increase penalties for violent crimes.
New Mexicans are confronting escalating water scarcity and emerging threats to our existing resources. The goal of providing sustainable, clean water to communities hinges on a multifaceted approach. This includes strategic investments from federal and state funding sources, the widespread adoption of advanced technology, and collaboration with community members and leaders at all levels of government.
New Mexicans expect us to stop the "revolving door" for career criminals. We must provide law enforcement resources through increased funding and support, ensuring officers receive adequate training and equipment to prevent and investigate crimes effectively. We also need to provide additional resources for mental health and substance abuse.
We must continue investing in first-time home buyer programs, building new homes, and supporting rental assistance programs.
I support developing a skilled workforce to drive economic diversification. We should invest in education, career technical, and workforce development programs aligned with emerging industries. Sectors like technology, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing have significant growth potential. Providing entrepreneurs with resources, training, and mentorship programs can stimulate innovation and job creation.

Occupation Los Alamos National Laboratory
As a native New Mexican with a diverse educational background, extensive volunteer experience, and a successful track record in both the private and public sectors, I bring a unique set of qualifications to this role. From collaborating with top executives at Bank of the West to shaping public policy at Sandoval County’s Treasurer’s Office, I've consistently made meaningful contributions. Currently, I contribute to The Los Alamos National Laboratory's crucial mission.
My top priority is expanding access to affordable healthcare for all New Mexicans. To achieve this, I plan to strengthen and expand our Medicaid program, increase funding for rural healthcare facilities, and enhance mental health services. Additionally, I will work on legislation to lower prescription drug costs and improve preventive care. By addressing these key areas, we can reduce health disparities, support our rural communities, and ensure that every resident has access to the essential he
I believe we should increase our investment in ground water conservation, ensuring we measure it protect it and use it as needed.
To improve public safety, we need a holistic approach. This includes strengthening community-police relationships, providing better resources and training for law enforcement, and investing in education and job training programs to prevent crime. Expanding mental health and substance abuse services is also crucial, alongside judicial reforms focused on rehabilitation and reducing repeat offenses. By tackling these areas together, we can create a safer and more supportive community for everyone.
To provide more affordable housing, I support increasing funding for affordable housing projects and offering incentives for developers to build low-income units. Expanding housing assistance programs, like rental subsidies and down payment help, is also crucial.
To diversify New Mexico's economy, we should invest in renewable energy sources like wind, solar, and hydrogen to create jobs and reduce reliance on oil and gas. Supporting tech startups and attracting tech companies can drive innovation and growth. Enhancing tourism by promoting our unique cultural and natural attractions can boost local economies.
Yes, legislators should be paid a salary. Compensation makes public office accessible to a broader range of people, not just those who are wealthy or retired. It ensures that legislators can dedicate their full attention to their responsibilities without financial hardship. A salary also helps attract diverse candidates who represent the demographics and needs of the community more accurately. By providing fair compensation, we can encourage talented and committed individuals to serve.
