NM State Representative District 34

In addition to other duties prescribed by law, representatives enact “reasonable and appropriate laws,” represent the constituents of their district, and serve on standing or interim committees. The legislature meets each year beginning in January. In odd-numbered years, it meets for 60 days; in even-numbered years, it meets for 30 days. The Governor may call special sessions. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and must be a resident of the district from which elected. They serve a two-year term. Representatives do not receive a salary, but they do receive a pre-set per diem and mileage; there is also a pension program for legislators serving a minimum period.Cámara de Representantes de Nuevo MéxicoAdemás de otras obligaciones prescritas por la ley, los representantes promulgan leyes razonables y apropiadas , representan a los electores de su distrito y sirven en comités permanentes o interinos. I taught all grades in Mesquite Elementary school. Reading Intervention K-2 for English and Spanish language students. I taught Vocational Agriculture at Jemez Valley High School and Socorro High School. I retired from the Gadsden Independent Schools in 2018. I also taught at Hatch Public Schools teaching 3-4-5 combination grades and New Mexico History and Geography where my students scored higher in the State Mandated Tests than all other departments. ..
Reading for K-2 students in Elementary Schools. Enhance Vocational Agriculture. Development of Police Sub-Stations in Chapparral and a Northern Sub Stations for the Communities of Mesquite, San Miguel and La Mesa. Increase deputies in the Dona Ana County. Protect our Environment in our County especially the Communities of Mesquite and Sunland Park.enh .
Enhance our tax code to assist small businesses and Tourism.
Drill more oil and gas in our state. Remove restrictions on our oil industry especially permits to drill. Support new businesses. Assist the development of our Santa Teresa infrastructure to our Industrial Park.
Train specialists to test all K-2 students in their letters and sounds and writing their letters. Train teachers to use this to enhance their skills to ensure they will learn how to read in a timely manner with oral practices in breaking syllables of words to master reading multi-syllable words.
