18 years as a lawyer before taking the bench. 2 of those years as a law clerk to a federal district court judge. Extensive experience representing clients in state and federal court at both the trial and appellate levels. Appellate Judge for 5 years.
To continue to improve the court’s transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. Since taking the bench I have worked to 1) eliminate the court’s case backlog; 2) ensure oral arguments can be viewed online; 3) amend our cumbersome and outdated local rules; and 4) oversee the redesign of our website to make it more user-friendly for the public. I will continue to ensure that the court makes improvements to better serve the public and to provide litigants with timely and well-reasoned decisions.
