Why am I running? I’m running for Mayor because I believe La Vergne is moving in the right direction, and I want to keep that momentum going. We’re growing, investing in our infrastructure, strengthening public safety, and working to bring new businesses, jobs, and opportunities to our community. There is still a lot of work ahead, and I’m not ready to walk away from it. I’m running for another term because I want to continue delivering results, protecting the quality of life of our residents, and making sure La
About Me I’m Jason Cole, Mayor of La Vergne, Tennessee, and a lifelong believer in the importance of community, service, and getting things done. I’m proud to serve the people of La Vergne and to have helped lead our city through tremendous growth and opportunity. My focus has always been on responsible growth, improving infrastructure, supporting public safety, attracting quality businesses and jobs, and making La Vergne a better place to live, work, and raise a family. I believe leadership means listening to residents, bringing people together, and delivering results. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished—and I’m excited about what we can accomplish together next.
The mayor’s main responsibility is to serve the people and provide strong, steady leadership for the entire community. That means working with the City Council, city staff, and residents to set priorities, manage growth responsibly, protect public safety, improve infrastructure, and maintain a strong financial position. I also believe the mayor should be La Vergne’s chief ambassador—working to attract new businesses, investment, and jobs while building relationships throughout the region. Most importantly, the mayor needs to listen to residents, bring people together, and make decisions based on what is best for La Vergne’s future.
I believe the biggest challenge facing La Vergne is managing our rapid growth while making sure our infrastructure, roads, public safety, and city services keep pace. Growth brings tremendous opportunities, but if it isn’t planned and managed properly, it can put pressure on the systems our residents depend on every day. We need to continue investing in infrastructure, improving traffic flow, supporting our police and first responders, and attracting quality development that strengthens our tax base. My goal is to make sure La Vergne grows smarter—not just bigger—while protecting the quality of life that makes our city a great place to call home.
If elected, I would continue focusing on responsible growth and making the infrastructure investments necessary to support it. That means improving roads and traffic flow, expanding and maintaining our water and sewer systems, strengthening public safety, and carefully planning new development. I would also continue working to attract quality businesses and investment that expand our tax base without placing an unfair burden on residents. Most importantly, I would work closely with the City Council, staff, developers, and residents to plan ahead rather than react after problems arise. La Vergne needs growth, but we need to make sure our infrastructure and services grow with it.
