Why am I running?
I believe La Vergne deserves thoughtful leadership, responsible growth, and a stronger voice for residents. Those values continue to guide my service to our community. As our city grows, I remain focused on responsible planning, improving infrastructure, protecting our neighborhoods, and ensuring growth improves residents’ quality of life. I believe local government works best when it listens, communicates openly, and keeps residents at the center of every decision.
About Me
La Vergne is where my husband and I made our first home together, built our forever home, and are raising our children. I’m a nurse practitioner, wife, mom, and neighbor who cares deeply about the future of our community. I believe in listening first, working hard, and finding practical solutions. I’m passionate about protecting our neighborhoods, planning responsibly for growth, strengthening infrastructure and public safety, and making sure residents have a voice in La Vergne’s future.
To me, being an alderman starts with remembering who you work for—the people of La Vergne. That means listening, being accessible, and making sure residents have a voice in the decisions shaping our community. A city is more than roads, buildings, and budgets; it’s the people who call it home. I believe an alderman should ask the tough questions, be accountable with taxpayer dollars, and make thoughtful decisions with La Vergne’s future in mind. At the end of the day, every decision should reflect the needs and best interests of the people we were elected to serve.
I would focus on attracting more sit-down restaurants, quality retail, and family-friendly business so residents have more options close to home, while being selective about development that could negatively impact our neighborhoods.
I would also prioritize infrastructure improvements, including addressing traffic and road needs in growing areas, improving pedestrian safety, and making sure our water, public safety, and other essential services have the resources and long-term planning needed to keep pace with La Vergne’s growth.
I would accomplish these goals by being intentional about the decisions we make today and how they will affect La Vergne tomorrow. That means listening to residents, working with city staff and developers, and asking the tough questions before approving new development. I want to make sure our roads, utilities, public safety, and other services can support continued growth. It also means being strategic with taxpayer dollars, planning ahead for infrastructure needs, and supporting development that adds real value to our community and quality of life.
