I run a small business where budgets and priorties have to be made and enacted. Our business is one that serves people of all backgrounds. My disaster response experiences have allowed me to make decisions in a high pressure environment. As a former office holder I have been through the budget process, and as Coroner always made rulings based on the facts of the case.

Serving for the past 3 years on the Council has given me tremendous insight into the budget process for the County. We have maintained a budget that allows for the needed growth without large increases in the tax rates.
The Council is responsible for making sure budgets are set and adhered to. We need to make sure money is well spent on things that will maintain the safety and quality of life of the taxpayers
Make sure the county budget is within the means of the county while allowing improvements of infrastructure as needed. Maintaining public safety is important as well.
We need to make sure the county does not put obstacles in the way of anyone that wants to open or locate a business in Montgomery County. We have much to offer as a community and our county government should be as welcoming as we can.
I am open to input from all sides. While I am generally a quiet person I enjoy meeting and getting to know people. We have chosen to stay in Montgomery County and continue our family business because we care about our community.
Infrastructure (Roads) always seems to be a top concern, we have had many improved recently.

My work on the council will be done with a commitment to the people in the community. I will bring a strong work ethic and the ability to listen and ask the right questions to understand each issue. I will use my experience in collaborative work to discuss and listen to all viewpoints and then apply critical thinking skills to make the tough decisions to achieve the optimal outcome.
I first want to build on the hard work and successes of the current and former county leaders and continue the collaborative work with the city leaders to continue responsible growth in the county. I would prioritize the efficient use of the county’s resources and work with all departments in finding effective solutions to get the most out of the budget. Being fiscally responsible, I will work to keep the county in favorable financial health so that the county will be set for a strong and sustainable future.
The council should continue a conservative approach to the budget while assuring taxpayers that all expenditures have a meaningful purpose for the county. The council must continue the necessary research on budget items to prioritize spending and research to assess alternate funding sources.
The county should continue to utilize economic development programs currently in place. Adding and improving the necessary infrastructure, building an appropriate workforce, and developing housing options would also provide a more conducive environment to attract businesses.
Like you, I want the best for our community. I am a lifelong resident and will listen to and work for you. I will ensure the appropriate use of taxpayer dollars and help our community advance in a responsible manner. My goal is to do the work in a way that will nurture a strong and sustainable future for Montgomery County.
There are a number of topics of concern I hear from the people in our community. Roads, property taxes, childcare, workforce development, etc. Any concern is great and it is up to the elected officials to work together prioritizing and take steps to eliminate each one.
