Protecting the people of Kentucky from Covid 19 and the related economic impact. We must create an environment where we can stay healthy in order to keep businesses open. We must require mask wearing and appropriate physical distancing. Small businesses must have financial support to stay in business and maintain jobs. This is especially important for low income workers who depend so dearly on their income. The next big challenge is infrastructure. We have a deteriorating infrastructure and some utilities that are not available everywhere (like high speed internet). We must raise new revenues and invest in our infrastructure.
We must expand background checks and close the loopholes in the existing law. High capacity weapons and magazines should be restricted. All legal gun owners should have training and be licensed.

The state should pass a resolution that will commit to use the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) as a framework for all future policy aimed at ending gender-based discrimination. This would include a gender analysis of state operations, establishment of an oversight body, and funding to support the full implementation of the principles.
We must protect our voting process from foreign governments by securing our election system from digital tampering. Voting should be easily accessible by the voters. I support automatic voter registration, early voting without excuse, mail in voting, opening early polling locations in the evenings and on weekends.
