Our budget and funding state workers’ pensions is a major task at hand. I believe revenue through recreational marijuana and legalized gambling could put our budget into the surplus. We have prime environmental conditions for growing and cultivation of marijuana. We also have a significant number of people who choose gambling as a form of entertainment. Instead of letting that money be sent out of state, Kentucky Should reap the benefits of these untapped sources of revenue.
We need to close the loopholes in gun show purchases. We need a better way to vet who is capable and who isn’t capable of properly owning handguns and high-powered rifles.
Before governor Bevin took office, Kentucky lead the nation in public healthcare and seeing but no Kentucky and was left uncovered. I believe new revenue sources from legalized gambling and recreational marijuana would more than cover the cost of healthcare for every Kentuckian.
Equal pay for equal jobs regardless of sex or race Needs to be addressed. We need to encourage those who know about these injustices to come forward without fear of retribution or retaliation from corporations or from those in power.
There has been no evidence of voter fraud anywhere in Kentucky to my knowledge. I believe people should be encouraged to vote whether it be in person or through absentee ballot. A persons vote is the best and most effective way to encourage and create change.
