At the start of our campaign I laid out that the Economy, Health Care, and Education are our biggest issues. Too many households cannot afford to pay their routine monthly bills, we lead the nation in medical debt, and are currently at the bottom of the nation in funding our public education system, including giving teachers a raise they were promised and deserve.

These issues were important before COVID and now they are more critical than ever. We've seen massive job and wage losses, which also often causes families to lose health care. We've also seen teachers and school administrators step up to implement remote learning to help keep families safe. Our teachers and children deserve a bold investment in their education and future.
We should expand Medicaid immediately. joining 39 other states who have already done so, including our neighbors Kentucky and Arkansas. This would bring much needed federal funds back to Tennessee for us to invest in health care options for struggling Tennessee families.

We must pass legislation helping families who have suffered from job losses and wage reductions due to COVID. We need to make investments in small businesses and keep them afloat during this time, rather than always funneling money to the largest corporations.

Also, our teachers deserve the raise they were promised by this legislature and governor. They are doing more with less than ever before and our legislature needs to step up for them as they step up for our kids.
I'm running because I believe that Tennesseans deserve freedom and fairness. I think that working families deserve a living wage that allows them to pay their bills. I'm tired of seeing hard-working people held back by an economy that isn't working for so many. I'm tired of seeing my friends burdened by health care debt that will take years for them to overcome. I'm tired of seeing teachers praised for their work, but then not rewarded for their efforts.

It's time for Tennessee to make real investments in our future, starting with fully-funding public education, making investments in health care, and ensuring that companies that do business in Tennessee treat our workers, our communities, and our state fairly.
