Climate Change, rising inequality and cost of living are three biggest challenges our State is facing. We can take all of these issues head on by embracing intersectionality and realizing that helping the least of us is what will save the rest of us. This means community-based renewable energy production, ending tax breaks to fossil fuel companies and providing access to quality public housing, transportation and healthcare. I know we can accomplish these goals while also growing the economy.
End fossil fuel subsidies. Invest in local, community-based renewable energy products. Enact PACE (Propert Assessed Clean Energy). Promote local farm to market initiatives. Give our rate payers a real choice over where and how they get their energy and their food.
We need to fully fund and staff our State family services and agencies that work to support women and minorities across our State. We need to provide quality childcare for all. We need to ensure access to resources for women who are struggling to raise families or even just to survive off a single income in our State. We need to protect women's reproductive rights and pass and ensure full gender equality all levels of our State. Mostly, we need more female legislators and leaders in our businesses and communities.
Build new, sustainable revenue streams to provide access to universal pre-K for all Montana families. Provide free school meals to all students. Ensure access to broadband to all families, especially in tribal and areas. Ensure that all public schools are fully funded to meet the new challenges they are facing.
We need to replicate the Single payer State employee medical coverage all our State employees and legislatures benefit from at the State-wide level and open it up to all Montanans. Healthcare is a human right, and quality, affordable healthcare should be available to all who want it.
