What do you most want the voters to know about you as a candidate?

I am a fifty-four year old-college educated professional with a diversified business, political, and charitable background. I have served the public and private sector primarily in an upper management capacity performing consistently with a high level of success for over 30 years.
The continued reduction of County debt. There was a $64 million dollar deficit the day I took office. Today that debt is $17 million dollars thanks to the hardwork of the County team under the direction of the County Commissioners.
That I have been a devoted public servant has worked vigorously representing the County of Plymouth and its inhabitants with a high degree of success and I want to continue to work in that capacity as County Commissioner until the County debt is retired.

Community Service: Past President & Co-Founder Brockton Boys & Girls Club, 2017 Recipient Massachusetts Bar Association Community Service Award, Past Coach & Board Member Marshfield Youth Football, Plymouth County Commissioner 2000-2012.
1. Transparency: The Commissioners do not video record Plymouth County Commissioners meetings. The County Commissioners should video record all meetings. 2. Finding a permanent solution to preserve the County County Farm and to prevent closure. 3. Adopting a " Code of ethics" for the County Officials. 4. Clean water is an issue. The county should be addressing this issues of keeping the aquifers clean. Aquifers do not stop at town lines.
A little bit about my background. I grew up in Brockton in a large family. I reside in Marshfield with my wife and two teenage sons. In 2012, after serving 3 terms, I decided not to run for re-election as a Plymouth County Commissioner. I strongly felt my primary responsibility was to lead by example and be present as my sons grew up. I have spent my time being a coach for many of the sports they played, being there after school, helping them with homework and being a part of their lives.
I have a diverse background of public and private sector experience. I am a former State Senate aide, and have built relationships with people across all political ideologies. I also serve my community locally as Chairman of the Charter Committee, Clerk of the Planning Board, and a member of the Elementary School Building Committee
The principal challenges being faced are making county government a relevant part of our communities. There are a lot of good programs the county is running right now; I'd like to find a way to continue to administer programs on a regional basis, facilitated by Plymouth County
I'm a fair, open minded, and honest individual who is always accessible and more than happy to sit down and have a conversation with anyone at any time. While that doesn't mean I'm always going to agree with you, I believe we can and should have open and honest conversations in a respectful manner with people across all ideologies.
