Massachusetts House 2nd Suffolk

The Massachusetts House of Representatives is comprised of 160 members, each representing a district of approximately 40,000 people and each elected for a two-year term. As required by the Massachusetts Constitution, the House meets year-round in either formal or informal session to consider legislation. The Massachusetts House is led by the Speaker of the House who is elected by the members of the body at the beginning of each two-year legislative session. Base salary for each representative is approximately $66,256.

I'm currently serving my third term as State Representative for the Second Suffolk District. Prior to be elected I worked for Congressman Mike Capuano for sixteen years in both Washington DC and the District. I served as Teen Center Director at the Charlestown Boys and Girls Club before going to work for Congress.
Wage Theft and other workplace issues; Transportation Equity
Pass a graduated income tax; Look at and close state tax loopholes.
Lower the thresh hold for zoning votes to make it easier to build more supply.
MBTA owns a ton of real estate near transit that could be better utilized to build housing and generate revenue.
