I am the County Treasurer. With over 40+ years’ experience in the private and public sector, I believe I am uniquely qualified. The county treasurer is responsible for all banking functions, (receiving, disbursing, and investing funds). As treasurer I comply with state statues and establish and maintain procedures to properly segregate monies into separate funds as required by law.

I have created/approved budgets for small and large entities ranging from $50,000 to $25 billion. I have handled payroll for small and large organizations and have participated in developing Strategic Planning for Government and Non-Government entities.

I have a working knowledge of the state statutes as they pertain to county government and the treasurer's office.

Whether a business owner, board member. committee member or state representative, I have always made customer satisfaction my highest priority. I will always work hard and conduct myself professionally.

Efficiency Over the last 11 months, I have made improvements in internal controls over check disbursements, worked with the auditor and finance to transition away from manual checks, reduced transfer cost for payroll, and negotiated favorable rates for investments. I will continue to look for cost savings and improvements. I have consulted with the State Treasurer on statutory compliance issues and other county treasurers on best practices.

Transparency I will continue to reach out to Clay County residents to help them understand the office of the treasurer. Before the shutdown, I attended city council meetings, civic meetings, and spoke to several community organizations about the treasurer’s office. The county has a transparency portal, officeholders have a web page, and the state treasurer’s office shares county data on their website. In addition, I have a social media page. I attend all commission meetings to be available for citizens and the commission. I humbly ask for your vote
