I am running for office in order to better enact the changes in my community necessary to better the lives of its members. It is my opinion that leadership at the state capitol has been lacking in vision and action in past years and we require new faces and ideas in order to shake things up. Change is hard to come by if we keep sending the same small group of people to the capitol to represent us, it is time we elect a candidate who is more representative of House District 90.
Criminal Justice Reform: Reduce or eliminate the cash bail system as it exists today. The current structure of the bail bonds system disproportionately preys on minorities and people in poverty. We need a system that is more fair and equitable.

Education Reform: Oklahoma is ranked near last in quality of education outcomes and there is a direct relation between dollars spent per student and outcomes. Our schools are critically underfunded and we need to find new and creative ways to increase funding to schools without burdening those most vulnerable.

Expansion of Voting Rights and Voter Access: I believe in active civic engagement and the importance of protecting and exercising our right to vote. In order to increase voter engagement in Oklahoma we should be modernizing our access to vote. Examples of initiatives that have proven to be successful include early voting, online voter registration, same-day voter
I believe I am the best person for the job because of my education, home-grown roots, and fresh outlook without the history of partisan politics. I believe I am more representative of the average constituent within the district and am eager to hear and fight for those in my community to better address their needs.

I believe that I can help to work together as a leader and with the community to forge a better and more prosperous future for Oklahoma. I believe we need fresh faces at the capitol and I can be that fresh face with an open door and a fighting spirit for our community.
