I am the Cowboy that ran for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018. I have decided to throw my hat back in the ring. I have been praying about what the Lord would have me do concerning my future in politics. He has laid it on my heart to continue advocating for Oklahoma’s turnaround. Instead of building a life in politics, I have built a life of character. With a reputation built on honesty and integrity, I take great pride in speaking directly. I was taught by my Dad and Grandpa that all you have in this life is your word. I vowed at a young age to be a man of my word. My word and handshake is a binding contract. Everything I have, I've worked for by the sweat of my brow, just like many of you. I have a heart for people and believe in leading by example. I want to be a voice of change for the regular, hard-working people in this district . They deserve representation and mutual respect. I am excited about serving the exceptional people in Northeast Oklahoma!
I'm proudly endorsed by Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Association (OK2A) and received an A grade by the Oklahoman's for Health and Parental Rights (OKHPR). I will work diligently and tirelessly to retain the liberties we have! I will use a common sense approach while listening to my constituents and representing them. As a veteran educator, I will work hard to retain Oklahoma educators by being competitive in our region and taking care of our retired state employees, law enforcement, firefighters, and educators by supporting pro-cola legislation. I am also passionate about representing our business owners and improving our infrastructure in rural Oklahoma. I would also like to see our rural communities grow and prosper economically throughout the district. As a rancher, I plan to work hard at the Capitol for the farming and ranching community. We live on a ranch where we own and operate a cow-calf operation. As a lifetime hunter and fisherman, I will continue to support wildlife conservation.
I will tackle the state of Oklahoma like I tackle anything life hands me. I will face the issues head on with hard work, dedication and a passion to see the job through to the end. I believe in being real and honest with people. These values are a direct result of how I was raised. My wife, Kathy and I, of 37 years, instilled these same values in our two children. I have a strong belief that anything is achievable with hard work and dedication. With a servant’s heart and a desire to serve all people, I am an approachable leader that cares deeply for my constituents. I love people from all walks of life and enjoy building relationships and connecting with others. I have been in leadership positions all my life. I was the Sapulpa FFA President my senior year and Class President at Northeastern A&M College my sophomore year. I am passionate about leading this district and need your support and vote in order to be your next Senator. Thank you for your time and consideration. God Bless!
